We have seen an increasing number of these and similar products being widely used in relation to the building/construction industry, emergency services, and within health and safety environments in general.
New legislation is expected throughout Europe making it law for all motor vehicles (private & commercial) to have at least one "High Viz" garment within the vehicle, to be used in the event of a breakdown/emergency at the roadside. This new legislation has already been introduced in Italy and Germany, with many others scheduled in the near future.
These new laws are a direct result of over 40,000 people being killed or seriously injured each year on Europe's roads as a result of poor roadside visibility. This creates an opportunity for you to market these products having the advantage of producing personalised "samples" for end user evaluation.
The waistcoats are 100% polyester weave and can be printed using both TTC and MagiCut products, including our EN471 reflective materials. They conform to 89/686/EEC and have the reflective taping for EN471 EPI class 2 approval. Both versions come with Velcro front fastening.
Each garment is individually bagged for convenience.
Marketing Tips
The advantage of our process is the ability to produce a "one off". Experience has proved you are more likely to obtain an order from a client regardless of the application, if you have taken the trouble to produce the sample for evaluation.
The market for these products is endless, however here a few specific ideas to consider and hopefully assist you in your marketing.
* In the UK there are over 10,000 car dealerships that could as part of their service programme either retail or give as a "freebie" to their existing clients. Each waistcoat could be personalised incorporating the dealer's logo, name, and even emergency break-down numbers.
*Your biggest employer locally is your local council or authority. Each has its own person responsible for such matters, and you would expect to find the right contact under Road Safety Officer/Manager or health and safety executive. It makes sense for the local council to deal with a local supplier especially when their logo can be printed using reflective materials helping to enhance the product further. See www.larsoa.org.uk
*There are over 11,000 transport and couriers companies who would also benefit from this product. Similar to the construction and building Industry the major players may already have their source for the product, but are they having them personalised? All the smaller companies would be perfect targets for these products.
There are a host of outdoor sports pursuits where again these would be well received including walking, horse riding, cycling, etc.
The bottom line is that this application makes good sense on a safety aspect for most people. Whilst they are not some kind of fashion accessory, they could indeed save someone's life!
